What is missing?
Be specific. "Better search" is not something anyone can build. "Search that finds Sahiwal when I type sahiwal cow lahore" is.

Search that understands the words people actually type. I searched "oscar fish karachi" and got dog ads. Nobody types the scientific name.
A way to filter out ads with no photo. If you will not photograph the animal you are selling, I do not want to see the ad.
Pigeon section me breed ke hisaab se filter chahiye. Abhi sab "kabootar" ke neeche aa jata hai, chahe teddy ho ya highflyer ho ya fancy.
Two things.
An adoption section that is genuinely free to post in and is not sitting three taps below the paid listings. Rescues have no budget and they are the ones with the most animals.
And a report button on an ad that goes somewhere. There is a seller in my city who has posted the same "lost" Persian four times in six weeks and it is obviously a scam.
Qurbani ke time pe weight aur daant ke hisaab se search. Har saal Eid se pehle yehi masla hota hai — sab "bara bakra" likh dete hain aur kuch pata nahi chalta.
Saved searches with an alert. I check for Persian kittens in Lahore every day like an idiot. Let me tell the site once and have it tell me.
Following up on my own post — the search has actually got noticeably better in the last few weeks. "oscar fish" returns fish now. Whoever did that, thank you.
Seller ka join date aur kitne ads post kiye hain, dono dikhaye jaayen. Naya account jo aik hi din me 15 puppies laga de, woh khud bata deta hai kya chal raha hai.
Whenever the vet directory happens, please make it a real structured thing rather than a forum thread. City, area, species they actually treat, and hours. The thread in Vet & Health is useful but it is already hard to search and it is only going to get worse.
